Beerovia: Summer of Dread
Our biggest event of the year is back and bigger than ever! Welcome to the Dread Beach.
Time & Location
Aug 24, 2026, 6:30 PM
TPK Brewing Co., 5051 SE Hawthorne Blvd, Portland, OR 97215, USA
About the event
TPK Brewing Co. will be celebrating this year's Geek Week PDX by running 13 one-shots from the new Ravenloft: The Horrors Within setting book!
The event kicks off with a multi-table takeover with level two adventurers risking becoming cult sacrifices together in The Tithe at 6:30 PM on Monday, 8/24, and continues with adventures for characters level 3-14 running daily between 9/11-9/21. The finale adventure, Secrets of Avernus, is a free multi-table event on Monday 10/12 for the first 30 players to book 10+ other Beerovia: Summer of Dread adventures.
These sessions are all self-contained one-shots with a compelling story arc for folks who just attend one or two, but do loosely connect into a larger plotline driven by our new house-vampire Damian Van Tide for those who make it all the way to the finale. And as with all of our big events, we'll be celebrating the week with a vampire-themed cocktail (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) available for the duration.
All sessions are for players ages 16+.
We're partnering with Board Bard Games again this year to print a free character miniature for every player who purchases a The Tithe ticket by Sunday 8/9 and will have it ready for you at the session!
Individual sessions for the event can be booked here, and this year each session attended will award you a sticker for your map of the Dread Beach. This year's prizes are based on number of stickers as follows:
1 Sticker: Beach Map + D20 (Vamp Red)
2 Stickers: Damian Van Tide Poster
4 Stickers: TPK Beach Ball
6 Stickers: Alt Cover Ravenloft: Horrors Within Book (Signed by the GMs if desired!)
8 Stickers: A TPK challenge coin (works as one luck point for any game played with TPK GMs, regardless of system.) Already have one? Good news! We're now allowing each additional coin beyond the first to be spent for +1 to any die roll.
10 Stickers: A custom-sculpted physical Damian Van Tide model, free ticket to a 10/19 painting class with Corvid Creations to paint him up, and name on the 2026 Geek Week sculpture permanently displayed at TPK. The first 30 players to book ten sessions will also receive a free ticket to the finale adventure, Secrets of Avernus.
13 Stickers: Damian Van Tide Beach Towel
All events will take place at TPK Brewing Co., 5051 SE Hawthorne Blvd., Portland OR 97215.
How do I make a custom character for Beerovia: Summer of Dread?
You can build your character using the point-buy method to generate ability scores and character options from any official D&D materials, defaulting to the 5.5e (2024) rules whenever available. Each adventure is designed for a specific character level, so you will need to level or de-level your character to match.
Your character can keep any treasure gained from these adventures to use in any other adventure that's part of Beerovia: Summer of Dread. In addition, you gain additional starting equipment based on your level according to the following table, and you can spend starting gp on any equipment at list price. (Additional starting equipment does not carry over to other adventures.)
Level 2-4 (The Tithe, The Ghost Hunter's Haunting): Normal Starting Equipment, 1 Common Magic Item
Level 5-10 (Isles of Agony, Blood o' the Vine, Trial of Hearts, Siege of Lekar, Eyes of the Darklord, The Shadowborn Sword): 650 GP plus Normal Starting Equipment, 1 Common and 1 Uncommon Magic Item
Level 11-16 (Tower of Traitors, Vault of the Elder, Scrolls of the Dead, Shadow of the Black Rose, Secrets of Avernus): 6,500 GP plus 2 Common, 3 Uncommon, and 1 Rare Magic Item
If you'd like help with character creation, our free August Character Creation Workshop is Thursday 8/6 and September's is Thursday 9/3.
Can I use my character from The Leyfarer's Chronicle?
No! Well at least not as-is. We're still allowing character content from The Leyfarer's Chronicle Campaign Player's Guide, but this year we're not allowing any equipment from the campaign. The Dread Beach is a dark sunny and terrible place and we want to keep these one-shots as deadly as they were intended to be.
