Tabletop Takeover Mondays

FWD RPG PNW is back to guide you through a labyrinth of anomalous events! They'll be taking over our upstairs and back room to run five beginner friendly one-shots. Each game is free and open to the public, with all materials supplied by the Game Master, but does require registration ahead of time.

All games run from 6-10pm on Monday, August 26th.

Brindlewood Bay with GM Monte Cozy Murder Mystery | Content Warnings: Light Horror Brindlewood Bay is a tabletop roleplaying game that combines Murder, She Wrote with H.P. Lovecraft. In it, you play a group of elderly women, members of the local Murder Mavens Mystery Book Club, who help the authorities solve murder cases in a picturesque New England Town. Over the course of their investigations, they become aware of a dark occult conspiracy that connects the cases, and will eventually have to face that conspiracy in order to save their community.

Blister Critters with GM Ted Cartoon Survival Action | Content Warnings: Cartoon Violence Where’d all the humans go? Who cares? The critters now rule the land, and they’re mutated. Blister Critters is a game about a cartoonish post-apocalypse where the humans have disappeared, but all their fun stuff (and their snacks) has been left behind. As a mutant frog, dog, raccoon, turtle, parrot, bear cub, squirrel, or another smallish animal, you are out to explore that bonkers world to gather that stuff while avoiding big, bad beasts. Every session plays out like an episode of a cartoon – imagine Ren ‘n Stimpy meets Gamma World with a big splash of Spongebob and a sprinkling of Mausritter.

The tl’dr – Pick your favorite varmint, grab your dice, and roleplay as a cartoon animal on a radiation-blasted Saturday morning show!

Troika! with GM David Science Fantasy | Content Warnings: judicial punishment, worms, cultists, gross well/sewer stuff You have committed terrible crimes against the people, and have been sentenced to be thrown down the well. What awaits you in the bottom of the well? Will you find redemption, or just a pile of muck and oddness? Strap on your best adventuring boots, don your silliest hat, and face the consequences of a completely farcical judicial system in an imaginary land.

Troika! is a bizarre RPG about exploring the myriad demiplanes surrounding the majestic city, Troika. Players should expect the unexpected and bring along your imagination and creativity, as the system allows you as much freedom to say what is true or not as anyone else.

Tremulus with GM Greg Cosmic Horror | Content Warnings: Violence, reality distortion, dread Tremulus is a storytelling RPG where you and your friends get together and create a haunting story in the vein of HP Lovecraft’s works.

Masks: The Next Generation with GM Amy Action | Content Warnings: Comic-book style violence, teen angst, and eldritch spookiness There’s something strange in Halcyon City, but none of the grown-up superheroes believe it, when you tell them… Halcyon City has had more than its fair share of superheroes, supervillains, and everything in between. Your team of young supers must forge your own path amidst the pressures of a world full of people telling you what to do and who to be, and defend the city from an unnamed horror, along the way! Masks: A New Generation is a superhero tabletop roleplaying game full of action, youthful angst, and dangerous bravery. Take on the roles of members of the latest generation of superheroes, young adults trying to figure out who they are and what kind of heroes they want to be.
